The London Knights Hockey Club will be hosting a press conference at 12:00 pm on Monday May 4th, 2009 to announce the launch of a new and exciting online mathematical program geared towards grade 6 elementary students. The press conference will take place at the John Labatt Centre. In conjunction with the Thames Valley District School Board and the London District Catholic School Board, the London Knights are proud to launch this program as a kick start to education week. The London Knights are dedicated to education and this program is a sign of our continued support and commitment to education in our community.
In attendance will be Dale Hunter, President and Head Coach, players Daniel Erlich, Nazem Kadri and Justin Taylor from the London Knights Hockey Club, London Mayor Anne Marie DeCicco-Best, Ruth Inglis and Scott Armstrong, Learning Co-ordinators of Junior and Intermediate Mathematics for the Thames Valley District School Board, Dorothy Palmer, Curriculum Support Teacher for the London District Catholic School Board, and Josh Jones and James Bastin, co-creators/authors of the program. Also in attendance will be grade 6 students from both the Thames Valley District School Board and the London District Catholic School Board.
